From interviewing recently and finding out the roles were grade 10, MRR seems to be 235k in non-flyover, at least if coming in from outside, and seemed possible to push for 245-249 otherwise interview for a higher grade.
@2het+1dGHb9vx thank you! What does fly-over country do to those numbers?
Middle of MRR 2 for grade 10 in non-flyover country is about 235k.
@2qwt+1dGHb9vx what is the midpoint and upper end for a grade 10? I thought it was $200K (150k/50k) and $275K was well outside of grade 10.
Been here over ten years and finally cracked $300k with the raises they just have out.
About 1/3 to 1/2 of what an AM can make. Cisco is not a technical company any more. It is a relationships based company focused on “architectures” and other terms like that. Your ability to be paid more is entirely focused on this, nothing to do with your technical or engineering abilities or qualifications. Cisco does not care about your engineering background.. No technical people anywhere near the ELT and Chuck.
To the double CCIE - you’re above the midpoint for such a low grade. Be careful, big target on your back!
$275k for me at grade 10, been here for 7 yrs now. Major account. Double CCIE who knows his stuff inside out. I could get more at a competitor but work is so easy here, I only put in about 3-4 hrs/day.
Of what do you guys speak? What you overall make: base salary + bonus + RSUs + ...?
EIC grade 9 and I’m only making $175!! Maybe I would make more at Palo Alto Networks?
Brand new grade 8 in GVE. Total comp is just over $183,000.
9 years at grade 10, when I left I was at 243K TTC. Got a 20% raise from a competitor.
When I left last year I was at 300K TTC. I laughed and scoffed at those early-in-careers only making 200.
When I left Cisco I was on average TTC of $260k.
250 seems maybe a tiny bit high but not far off. Of course, it’ll be much lower in flyover country.
I know a lot of SEs and I know the MRR ranges. 250 is definitely middle of the pack.
Middle of the pack is not 250 or anywhere close to it. It's sub 200 for TTC - total target compensation. SE's on the largest enterprise accounts may make 200-250 but thats about it.
Middle of the pack is about 250.
