A former belk store manager is allegedly claiming they were instructed to “overwork” certain older employees in hopes they would quit. they are also allegedly claiming that Belk is hiring and promoting people based on physical characteristics and not based on qualifications, merit, or ability. The manager is also allegedly claiming that charity day practices are questionable and some money from that event is unaccounted for. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
