Ursula pretty much put the final nail in the coffin for the Union when she was around.

IMO the upper to mid levels of union "leadership" is in cahoots with the company. Witnessed it too many times. Local levels are usually not that good with management.

leadership was in bed with HR…

About as good as any Union in the the US...nothing
Well, plant closures, constant layoffs ,
outsourcing and reduced benefits..
Quite an impressive record in protecting their members ..
