Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Amazing how much time they need

If only the deadlines for which I am expected to complete the work were so relaxed. They know how to appreciate only themselves and their time.

The fact that I still don't know whether my exemption will be approved or not and that I'm worried about it doesn't interest them. Admittedly, it doesn’t surprise me. I would be surprised if it was the other way around.

NTAP doesn't care about you or your exemption. Unless you are brown. If you are white and apply for an exemption you will be denied. You will be “terminated” and replaced with a diversity hire.

Forget about your exemption. I’m vaccinated, sent over my card about 5 minutes after I got the email, and I’ve still waiting for validation, and that was 9 days ago now.

Doubtful your exemption is valid enough for them to concern themselves with it. Most folks are filing BS exemptions. Almost no reason to be exempted. If you can't vax up you should be terminated.

I agree, I think they have underestimated the number of exemption requests that they are going to get and they are waiting to see how high that number goes before deciding they are going to terminate or grant exceptions. There are also quite a few lawsuits underway against the mandates which they may be waiting to see some of the results.

I get the feeling that there are only a couple HR individuals working the exemptions. They might have underestimated the number of exemption requests they'd receive. They could even be holding off on exemption notices until upper leadership knows how many people would need to be "terminate" versus allow exemptions.
