If you're looking for a place where you'll worry about layoffs every single day but at the same time pray to be laid off so you can get out of this mess, again, this is your place. I was told in 2020 my job was going away and I would get 6 months notice. Covid hit and I am still here and they are holding that carrot in front of me of a possible lay off. Now I am interviewing hoping for something new. I think my department is more complex than they originally thought and it is going to take more time than they planned on to have India do my job
I really hope to be laid off and get a severance package. In the meantime, I'm starting a new company in my spare time to hopefully replace the terrible job I have.
You just described the culture here… if you did not get more than 4% salary raise… you are probably someone they don’t want to keep in the long run… be aware of that folks.
