Well, it looks like if you are salaried, get a shot or you’re fired, the court ruling only applies to whether the non-salaried need to be tested each week if they aren’t vaxed. Apparently, managers must be replaceable. Probably studied the demographics of the non-vaxed, and it helps with the continued departure of those with a clue. Hope this doesn’t affect future buyouts, as most eligible people would love to walk away from this embarrassment.

https://www.osha.gov/coronavirus/ets2
On November 12, 2021, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted a motion to stay OSHA's COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard, published on November 5, 2021 (86 Fed. Reg. 61402) ("ETS"). The court ordered that OSHA "take no steps to implement or enforce" the ETS "until further court order." While OSHA remains confident in its authority to protect workers in emergencies, OSHA has suspended activities related to the implementation and enforcement of the ETS pending future developments in the litigation.

Good thing a number of reasonable states have allowed employees to opt of of a company’s vaccination mandate. PEP can’t work around state laws.

I have no doubt they will mandate the vaccine, mandated or not by the fed. I would wager a bunch there will be zero exceptions allowed and zero severance. They have no reason to give severance as it costs them nothing either way. Refusal will qualify as cause for termination. Ramon is likely drooling at the thought of firing people and not having it cost that shole a dime to do it. Backdoor way to eliminate overhead not already reduced by moves to GBS and MBS. Corporatist anti-American A*ole that he is. Glad I got out when I did.

Will see how federalism stands up to the tyranny going on with the current administration and the unelected bureaucratic dictators at institutions like the CDC. They are going to try and collect vaccination status of employees by Dec. 5th to see what type of impact they will have at the plant levels. Guessing vaccination rates at the production facilities is <50% at most. Would advise to not disclose vaccination status whether vaxxed or not until the last second. There are also a lot of lawsuits from collective states and organizations that are going after the unconstitutional decree by OSHA devised as a work around by the Biden administration. Let the states decide. Hopefully, you live in a freedom loving state that isn’t part of the tyranny.

There’s no reason for PepsiCo to not allow weekly test results from employees that pay for their own tests. Zero.

Hold out as long as you can. I am. I have an exemption letter from my doctor but they are not sure if it will be accepted. It terrifies me that the government can force you to do something against your will and so many people are for it. Sugar is bad. Will they ban it next to fight diabetes? Broccoli helps fight cancer. Will they start forcing people to eat it everyday? Smoking ki--s. 2nd hand smoke is worse than 1st hand. They can ban tobacco for all I care. Many others would be very upset though. Mosquitos ki-l just as many people per year as COVID in areas where malaria exists. I don't see them massively trying to ki-l them off to eliminate mosquitos from the earth.

I hope the government doesn't mandate it. 70% of adults are fully vaccinated, that is the magic number they stated to get herd immunity so why are we pushing to get 100% vaccinated? We have to live with this virus. My job is already being outsourced-I am just waiting to hear when I am done, so in the meantime I have to get a vaccine that I am not comfortable with and then they will let me go?

The government will not mandate it. Look at what happens to Southwest Airlines in one day after making there stance. With a shortage of workers and record profits it’s not worth the risk

They are planning on mandating it for everyone-not allowing for weekly testing. no severance would be my guess if you don't get the vaccine. you will be let go.
