I saw one of the malls in NJ the Starbucks has been closed for several months but does not look like much has been cleared out of the space. No idea what their plan is there. Strangely I’ve seen a lot of pizza places in malls closed now at least the several I’ve walked through.

While it could be the malls or sign of things to come, could also be trends in business. Google starbucks and see that last year they announced they are closing 400 mall locations to focus on drive thru and stand alone stores. Why pay pricey retail kiosks when covid made public realize the ease of pickups and drivethru's?

They are gone permanently.. its riding out the lease and removing the equipment and stock.

Did they close permanently ? Or did they close because of staffing issues.
