Well it could be worse. I still get paid enough to afford a good life. Stress load and work load have tripled. Covid doesn't help out with all people working at home being not as productive as you might think. I don't know how they derived the layoffs. It didn't make much sense about some of the people that went. I do have more stream lined procedures that actually allow us to do some things again finally. The dog had us handcuffed badly. all in all it could be worse. Ill stay until something better comes along.

Keys to happiness at Cenovus:
- Make your boss look good
- Do the best you can at work but don’t work more than you have to
- Forget management ambitions or career advancement or job titles, money is all that matters
That’s all there is to it
It’s true there is worse.
Just be careful to who you trust there , lots of people are scared shitless for there jobs you say the wrong thing about someone your on the list , lots of two faced individuals , just my two cents
Give it some time you'll see it was better where you were at , in a year you'll be looking
Really?? Everyone I talk to who was laid off in March is loving their new job. They are making the same money, some more because they were given a higher position. They also are not dealing with the drama management causes here.
They are way worse places where people work and they make a fraction of what you make even though they have high education. Some are with no jobs. You are all spoiled group of whining people. Other people would love to get your jobs. It's time for HR and Senior Management to look at their hiring processes. They need to concentrate on who they are hiring and question hiring manager's decision if he/she hired somebody with no experience. It could be their nephew or son-in-law etc. It became almost impossible to get a job at Cenovus unless you have a relative who can help you. It's a shame.
