Nice, @9wip, you are pretending to be in Singapore as you post from your single-wide in the TX backwoods sippin' a Natty-lite. Too Funny!
Keep it up though, it's priceless. We'll put on the popcorn.......yawn.

I am in Singapore as a matter of fact. It is nice to see @8ofq+1d6RTNHf (AKA Chevron Public Affairs) using their Chevron Way Behaviors. @8ofq+1d6RTNHf is a good example of what Chevron has become. A place that doesnt respect the truth but a place that likes to discredit everyone if they do not step in line with a bad leader. Please @8ofq+1d6RTNHf post more negative comments. It only discredits Chevron.

I hope DP looks back as he drives off from San Ramon Park at the compete fire storm of an organization he has created and is now leaving behind.

We should do a lookback on the Why and How our executive leadership allowed this to happen.

I know Buzz is rolling over in his grave.

I do think DP is a very smart man. He pulled off one of the biggest cons in CVX history by convencing leadership that he somehow understood Wells, HSE, Leadership and basic human kindness. He has none of those skills.

I don't think he truly knows how much GG disliked him or how the others leaders call him the little angry man.

Well, kudos to you for an incredible acting job for 39 years.

I am amazed how Chevron allowed DP to proudly display his Penn State Coffee Mugs and Water Bottles during his Covid Townhalls!! I felt like I was watching an informercial for Penn State. Think about what PSU covered up and how the top officials at this University served jail time. Have NEVER seen others at his level at Chevron do this BS yet others minions like CP followed his lead.
I saw his Zoom meetings and all I could think of was Jerry Sandusky!!

If his daughter stays, she will have to deal with the shame and embarrassement of just being his daughter, the legacy he is leaving behind and the nepotism that got her in the position she is occuping.

DP used to say all of the time, I have promoted more women than any other manager in this company. He stopped saying it when it was pointed out that most of them had left the company or were not performing anywhere near where they should be at that level they were placed.

I love that DP created this dashboard for all of his employees that showed if you had achieved all of the triggers to get promoted to the next level. Everyone in the PDC pointed out to him that the people he was promoting had nothing but red on their dashboards saying they were not ready to be promoted, he pulled the dashboards and said they did not work.

I don't hate many people in this world but I can tell you, DP has made my life a living he-l. He has been cruel to me and to my family. It hurts me deeply to say that I hope his life is miserable after he leaves CVX. He is one of the worst human beings I have every known on this planet. To also see how he treats his wife and then tells us how much he respects women. No sir. You are a bad person. A little hint to remind you who I am. I worked with you in Thailand. When your wife was telling my wife about how bad the marriage had gotten, you told me to tell my wife to keep her mouth shut or you would fire my a-s. I have not forgotten my deal friend.

@4gqs - yes, the transfer to HSE basically 'neutered' DP. Also being on camera, he was on his best behavior. Nobody here who worked with him prior to HSE has come to his defense, that should tell you a lot.

Wow! So much hate and resentment. Can you folks be more explicit on his behavior, provide some examples. I just listened to his Covid updates and it did not ring a bell or caused any serious concern but obviously it looks his personal interactions on a day to day basis was different from his image behind the camera.

An observation on DP's goodbye message. I retired last year, the severance package was icing on my retirement cake. Ignore the fact that none of us Covid retirees had any opportunity at all to formally say goodbye. My observation in the 2015-2017 layoffs/retirements was that the only people who got emotional were the people who weren't mentally prepared to retire and/or those who put too much emphasis in their lives on work. Those who had a strong support (family) network and plenty of outside interests were actually quite happy to be retiring.

@3egb is entirely correct. I worked with (not for) DP in a cross-functional group while he was still in Drilling. I was warned ahead of time that he was a 'my way or the highway' guy, and that it wasn't a good idea to disagree with him. Back in those days Drilling was a 'we can do no wrong' club (GOM people may remember MR) of super egotists, DP fit right in.

Bye bye BP you will not be missed by anyone other then your daughter who was riding on your coat tails. But I am sure you have out enough favors to the others to keep her in good graces and keep the nepotism going even after your come.

Back in the day when DP ran the predecessor of Wells, he was the chief bully in an all-male show of intimidation. This is one example where D&I has made a positive change.

@ryl, Those behaviors you bring up about DP are exactly the traits of a narcissistic and psychopathic mind. People like DP do not empathize, have genuine feelings or understand normal human emotions, so they only mimic the expected behavior, and often times overshoot the mark and reveal their falseness. Good riddance DP. We won’t miss you, we will actually celebrate your absence.

Unfortunate that his final salvo was to seize on the covid madness and peddle one-sided narratives. When people can’t openly discuss ideas like natural antibodies through contracting the virus or therapeutics for less vulnerable populations, it is shameful. So much wasted time and division created that could have been better spent trying to prevent incidents and get work done. My sincere hope is that the successor will re-focus the organization’s efforts on truly being a support function that provides solid technical expertise.

MB should do a good job. All three of this week’s Vice President announcements (MB, CP, and BH) are great and hopefully signal a shift in where we are going with future appointments.

It truly mad me sick seeing him cry yesterday on our web meeting. To see someone that is a known cold bully that has destroyed so many peoples lives to suddenly act like he is this emotional caring person (Crocodile tears). He is evil and should have been let go long ago. His daughter needs to go as well. We need to remove the entire payne of cancer. I look at all of my good friends that he kicked out last year and look around now at the complete chaos he has created in HSE breaks my heart. He is poison and he will be remembered that way.

DP never really fit into HSE, Covid and all the video exposure amplified his mis-fit. He must have really done something bad in Wells (he was a well-known bully) to be pushed out of that position and into what was supposed to be a 'caretaker' position in HSE, a high-PSG position to while away the time to retirement.

Cronysim and woke in action at Chevron: 1) DP 'sticks around' until April 1, 2022, not coincidentally to collect in 2023 a 1/4 of 2022 'bonus'. Maybe pad his pension as well. Maybe take a few more trips to Perth on the Company nickel while otherwise doing nothing. 2) It goes without saying, MB keeps Chevron's woke culture alive. It's a shame that MB may actually be perfectly qualified, but the insinuation of woke culture taking over taints her promotion.
