Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Miserable company

A new hire came and left after five days. Another hire that came in is completely lost and doesn't know what to do because there is no person to train him.
I do most of the work in the store. I wear multiple hats and am exhausted to the max. Even if I can't find a new job soon, I think I'll definitely quit.
If there are multiple levels of misery, most of the remaining employees here are at its lowest levels. Who wouldn’t feel miserable here?

These poorly managed stores should be glad they held on this long. All who leave no longer shop there to support them . Their friends &. Families don’t either. Besides the regulars, they’re also losing more & more every day. Their reputation has done them in.

What are they saying on the Facebook Booksellers page? If you check it often enough you find out things you shouldn't know before they take them down.

Last two months we hired 8 new employees already lost three, two due to scheduling and our store manager being too stubborn to work with them as they start school and one for a better paying job. The Others are down on the store and may not last the holidays when things get much harder. No one wants to do this job, deal with all the new corporate baggage and hostile management meanwhile in my city they are paying dish washers 20 bucks an hour. How in the world can this place compete.
