Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Talent is already leaving

People keep talking about the future but is nobody paying attention to what's going on now? Wake up people, most of the talent has already left. The dam has opened and it keeps pouring out the best people. They are moving to companies with proper work/life balance and a much better culture than here. This is our present, not the future. Raytheon is in much more trouble than many of you think.

You left after 29 years. You were former HAC? Should have just stayed the last five years to retire at 55 to get your million plus pension.

So happy I left (after 29 years). It was so difficult to do as I felt so much loyalty to the company and the people I worked with. I couldn't take the insertion of politics into the work environment. I was 5 years short of retirement....so I now work at a place reminiscent of the old days..

Are they actually going to fire people if you dont show proof of vaccination by Nov 8 or just put them on leave without pay? If fired then they will have a hiring spree to fill all those positions.

I guess the remaining legacy Hughes folks that got laid off with one year pay or retired were the lucky ones. They all cashed in on their 1 million plus pension (provided they were in the plan. If not they are still working🤦‍♂️).

Yeah I've experienced "mergers" before. Once Raytheon announced it, I put my resume out there and was able to leave in 2019 before things got really bad.
Bear in mind folks, whenever there is an acquisition or merger there are always manpower changes. Since heritage, Raytheon folks are no longer the dominant population on the executive board, one guess on who was the acquiree in the "merger". What a bunch of empty-headed dummies to think that people would be stupid enough to believe that if you call it a merger, people won't leave.
The upside is if you can stick it out and deal with the stress, they will have a real good positioning for the products they'll be putting out in 5 to 10 years.
Good luck folks. After 20 years with Raytheon, I'm NEVER going back.

My suggestion to anyone who hasn’t already, is to start sending out resumes. Unless you just want to have the rug snatched out from under you at a moments notice. This company does not care about you. Don’t wait till the last minute. When companies stop caring about their people and start strategically doing things that they know will make people unhappy but will save them money and they do it everytime, that’s your sign to leave and time to punish them for treating us this way. It will only get worse if you stay

Funny, I haven’t seen the date being moved up ( not saying it hasn’t). A lot of older guys were planning on retiring after Christmas break. They were going to make January 2 their retirement day. So they’d still get their Christmas vacation pay. Guess the company got wise to that and is going to force out the group that isn’t getting the shot. Hilarious how up front they are now about not caring about their people. This company is full of greedy as-----s.

All things this company preaches is BS - D&I, no bullying, no retaliation, pay for performance, appreciation, caring, its all lies! Now they move up the date to December 8th to be fully vaccinated and poison your body. It's take it it leave it. My prediction is those that don't take the jab are out December 15th so they don't have to pay for holiday break. We are working remote, who are we hurting in our houses working? This company has no allegiance to employees. Executives only care about themselves. Very sad

No we are in trouble because when they leave their work flows downhill to us! Rtx does not care about you or the stress levels. This is not going to be a pleasant experience
