Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. Reports Second Quarter Results

Inventory was reduced by approximately $80 million compared to the end of fiscal 2020, primarily related to product transitions associated with the growth of the Company's Owned Brands, as well as store closures related to the Company's fleet optimization activity.

I have no idea where people go on blaming "supply chains" when Bloodbath dumped a ton of items from its stock already and requires less of a supply chain now.

Well when you use stores as fulfillment centers with people that don’t give a fk it’s not going to go very well haha. They should have invested in the real thing. Not like the overworked employees in these stores care about making sure your package is packed correctly or even makes it to its destination. Hence the reviews.

reviews for ordering online from us are awful no matter where you look, with the typical wrong items/broken items/in transit for a month items, and then our company making people have to work extra hard to get refunds for those bad shipments

It is not only foot traffic that is way down it is online as well. Of course the company boasted about online traffic being up over 100%, when it was next to nothing to begin with of course it would go up. 100% of next to nothing is still nothing after all. Reality is there are much better alternatives to shop for what BBB offers and the numbers speak to that.

Better be full trucks next 6 weeks and heavy through December. In the back door and right back out the back door.
Doesn’t look like foot traffic will be enough.

My store is finally getting inundated with freight. Of course we could have used a lot of this for Back To College, but oh well. Maybe some of it will be relevant to Home Happier Open House, or something.

You can’t sell from an empty cart! You can’t have supply chain issues if you don’t order supplies. Take a pointer from the Field of Dreams, M.T. and company, “IF YOU BUY IT, THEY WILL COME”.
