I've spent countless nights and weekends making this place a priority over my own family in hopes of advancing my career and in turn making sure my family is taken care of. I put in so many extra hours, so much of myself into this place and what do I get in return? Certainly not a promotion. All I get is more work. They know I'll do it and they keep piling on while giving nothing in return. Well, I'm done. I'll just do the bare minimum while I search for a new position. Preferably at a company that knows to appreciate hard work and dedication instead of punishing people for it.

welcome to the club. i took a step back over the summer to re-evaluate things and made the decision for my family to only work the required hours, leave, and to not be available on personal time (unless there was an emergency). it just isn't worth it and nothing is owed to this place. i don't care if it is a career limiting move. hire more people. we're grinding ourselves to pay for another executives vacation property or dr-g habit.
for what its worth, i interviewed with a fellow midstream company on monday (pembina paid for the 1.5 hours. thx micky mick) and i am now moving on mid-october. things have changed and lots of jobs out there now for us.
Power to you and I wish you all the best. I pulled the pin a few months ago for the same and several other reasons - see the “Horrible company to work for - stay away” post.
After no longer be9ng with Pembina, it’s very interesting to hear what people say about the company. And the bulk of what I’ve heard is definitely not positive.
