Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Less flexibility then before COVID.

Curious to see if anyone else is seeing less flexibility in their work schedule (such as 4/10 not being honored) or very strict office hours. Seems like the maximum flexibility that was spoken about repeatedly has gone by the way side.

I used to only be able to look at po-n on my phone while in my office and I always had to watch for people catching a view from the mirror effect off the windows.

Now I can look at po-n on my phone in the middle of a townhall. It’s po-n 24/7. Just make sure not to have the sound on if you go off mute.

Less flexibility? How could it be any better - here I am (on my personal computer), nothing to do on a "working Friday", wandering through all the Chevron Corp. Layoffs posts, all while getting paid by Chevron!

@kuk, Cool Story bro, No, OP is correct, 2-3 days WFH is a lost dream (actually a tall tale). keep dreaming if it helps, but that's not "most groups", that's no groups.

Flex is completely at your bosss discretion and may be withheld for lower performers.

Not as flexible as I’d like, but way more flexible than pre-covid.

Most groups are offering 2-3 days per week WFH. I’d love to WFH almost exclusively but that’s not an option, but wha5 is being offered seems a good compromise. Work hours not strict at all - no clock watching. Get your work down and attend the meetings you need to be in.
