People are usually worried when someone intends to buy the company they work for. Citrix is the only company where even some of my colleagues think it would be better for the company to be bought. This means that people here do not see the possibility that any improvements are possible without radical changes.

all the above is true i have been around along time since the beginning.
The question to be asked is - is going through a surgery worse than losing life?
In some orgs deep cleansing is required to cure the toxic culture and perpetual low outcomes. Almost the entire management layer will need to be shown the door to have any chance of course corrections.
Otherwise I see it as a one way slide to painful death for the company with all (Workspace, Wrike, Sophos) bets flopping due to poor and slow execution.
Citrix folks should be looking for new jobs now. They should work for a company that buys companies not a company that is bought. Often I see the people at the company that is bought are not kept. They might be kept for a short period but that’s it. This will have a big impact on South Florida but Citrix is sinking….
