RM has had her job for about 4 years. She’s wrecked the HR group. She has done nothing to hold a group of awful leaders accountable - HR for sure but also enables DP’s mess. There isn’t one thing can point to that is better under her watch. Maybe good start of a place to move on and change? Or is she like a CVX Supreme Court member?

@9ygt, MW already has calculated when The Dividend will become unsustainable, as just about everyone on Wall St. has said, and as every other major oil company has already acted on. He's hoping it will take him to 65, but it's a lock that he will 'retire' right before The Dividend has to be cut, leaving it to EB or JG (the younger) to be the one to break the SR vanity streak of continuous Dividend increases. A tip: once you hear strong rumors of MW's retirement, sell out of Chevron as fast as you can. That Dividend cut is going to sink the stock price.
When will MW have the courage to save Chevron from the woke, racism and baises?
I am sure he only sees his bonuses but does he really want his legacy to be the guy who allowed HR to drive out all the technical talent and cost the company its ability to be an admired energy company.
Once he retires he won't care if chevron disappears
Unfortunately, the culture in HR is toxic. Sad but true.
There is no such thing as 'leadership' in either HR or Finance or Supply Chain, these functions basically run themselves with low-level supervision (kinda like the janitors). 'Management' positions in these functions are basically ego-st-----g, D&I fulfilling wastes of money. RM is a prime example of such bureaucracy and cronyism.
The attrition is brutal here. People leaving left and right. Management needs to wake up and do something before there is no one left to work here.
I am not HR, but will be dropping my resignation after nearly 20 years on my bosses desk Monday.
I can no longer exist in this company with it woke and racist culture drive from the top.
I have seen the good days with Chevron. RM has driven this racist sexist bias to the limit
RM is a complete joke. I think me favorite is that she she looks down upon her minions so much she refuses to use any polling platform that allows anonymity. She can't handle the truth and whines when the HR community voices facts about our culture like she's the victim in all of it. For a CHRO, she's the most invisible C-suite person at Chevron. And don't get me started on her bogus People and Culture town Halls. The woman can't even be bothered to give the workforce a full 60 minutes on her time. I'll jump ship before too long, there's no room to advance in Chevron's HR structure, and frankly, she's the last person I would want to go above and beyond or work for more directly.
During the worst of Covid in 2020, RM babbled on and on about how her daughter wouldn't be able to use her prom dress, and her mother and roses. Dragged out the HR Transformation for five (yes, five!) years. Completely ignores constructive criticism in HR Town Halls. A thoroughly self-centered, egotistical person, and as stated elsewhere, untouchable. Good thing Chevron doesn't depend on HR for anything.
She would have to resign or publicly shame MW. She has 4 million reasons every year not to resign.
What happened to the post about the HR VP woke anti white male.....guess she had that one deleted as being too true!!!!!
What do you think she pulls in a month? I'm betting it is north of 200K with LTIP and all.
She lives on Linked In and basks in the pseudo-idolatry of a tiny community of fellow wokesters. I thought she was supposed to be the VP of HR for ALL employees. Not just for a select subset.
the only thing that can and will change is you/us. we need to get out while we can!
It seems like RM lives on LinkedIn! And she is almost 100% focused on the AA community.
Just wait until her new advisor starts talking poorly about people again. This time with RMs ear. Anyone looking for a 24 thru 26 (his perceived competition), is going to get trashed. RM is going to make life very difficult for 26s that have been bad mouthed and the stuff always rolls down hill. Just my prediction on how things get worse.
I guess no one at the conferences asks her if she has directly contributed to making the environment difficult!
What is amazing is that she is a headliner at HR conferences and speaks about the amazing job she does in a difficult enviroment. Chevron still has credibility in market even though we are fleeing.
She likes her some Linkedin tho
RM is in her mid 50's, she's 'made' and untouchable. It's up to her when she wants to move on or retire. I wouldn't expect her to leave until MW's 'dividend bubble' finally bursts and he retires and takes all his cronies with him. I do agree with OP, she's ruined HR and strongly contributed to demoralizing the entire Company.
As a token AA exec, The job is hers ten more years which is when she turns 65.
lol and is there anyone in her leadership team who is any better, and is actually ready for the job? The whole function is screwed for years to come because the precious PDCs only promoted the people with the worst behaviors. She’s still in her role because 1, MW has her under his wing… and 2, there’s no one else who is any better.
Yes 100% about enabling DP. HR gave his daughter a job in Transformation when Wells didn’t want her. Funny after all that, notice how we don’t hear much about KM anymore?
They downgraded jobs in all support functions across the Corp. Very dishonest. SCM is in the same boat as HR. There is no room for career advancement.
Good luck with that. She is just like an american political system. Lets see how bad I can be or make it before a revolt. Layoff every other year...lets go further.....downgrade all my jobs....further.....laugh at people while they leave.....hold my beer.....make the worst HR rep my advisor. Ding ding ding. What do you think her next step is to make us disgusted.
She’s untouchable. Grin and bear it.
