Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

I think cashiers are the easiest job in the Store . Have you done anything else besides cashier at Walmart ? Can you elaborate why is the worst for you ?

Actually cashiers aren't completely going away after Christmas. There's been pushback. Some stores that remodeled the front end are doing a refresh next year. Some registers are being put back.

Worst job in the store??? Having to manage some of you boneheads.

Between you that want to be treated special, call in a lot, are lazy and avoid doing work, take too long breaks, are on your phone all the time or have an attitude…….

You wonder why maybe your job at Walmart sucks? You reap what you sow.

It only takes a couple of days to show your true colors- why you’ve had a string of jobs you either left or were let go from. Then, when Walmart is the only place that will hire you, you bring all those bad habits, bad behavior and disrespect to the store.

Look, we’ve seen everything. As a store manager I can tell in a day if a new associate is going to end up being a good associate or we’ll regret bringing them on.

My advice is this, try to do a good job and show you can take responsibility for what we ask you to do. If you do, we’ll notice. And if you keep doing it, we’ll notice that, too.

All leads. They all know the store was better with DMs. It's making us mental seeing how bad depts are now.

Don't worry, self check outs are coming and you will not have a job to complain about.

Everyone will still have to do checkouts during the holidays with the handheld.

Unpaid, untrained self checkout non employees …

deli, tire and lube, pharmacy tech all bad jobs—-best job optical department sit around all day

Maintenance a real close second.

Won't have to worry about that pretty soon. After Christmas it all goes away. Self checkout only.

Definitely cashier!
