Management doesn't seem to understand what young people want and who they are competing with for employees. Me and others are looking at tech jobs. Some have already left for other employers who offer the work experience we are seeking. Feels like a bait and switch to show us the campus with the nice gym, bright modern office, and food court during recruiting and then send us out to the Permian. We don't have a big enough footprint in the Permian apparently to compete. Pioneer, ConcoPhillips + Shell, Chevron, and Oxy all have more production than us in the Permian. Their offices and employee amenities at their offices including the trailer park we call an office in Carlsbad are a real turn off.

@olr+1d2h0bsZ Let's not name anyone. Like @rcy said, it will be deleted anyway.
Your management does NOT care! Either accept that and get back to work or look elsewhere to work. I’m not trying to be harsh, but this is the new reality.
ExxonMobil will only employ those that are not employable somewhere else. Don’t be a loser, get out and work somewhere else. This place is not changing.
@olr+1d2h0bsZ No and no one here should take that bait. Naming individuals (except for public ppl listed in public filings or in the press) will get the post taken down. Nice try
Would somebody tell me who is the manager in the different departments (drilling, Facilities and operations) at Permian?
@OP Nobody cares about keeping or attracting talent in O&G.
Pioneer has tuition reimbursement, complimentary employee cafeterias, on-site fitness centers, on-site daycare
C'mon Exxon. This is pathetic.
