When will APAs get a raise? Seems like everyone is making way more than what APAs make now and it’s one of the most dangerous jobs in the store! Anyone know if this will happen?

APA’s pay is already more than almost all other associates. We all deal with the same customers!
i think customer host sure get more money to. their job is dangerous!!!!
Highly doubt APA jobs are going anywhere and no, the police won’t deal with “it. With shrink on the rise (even with the new high shrink threshold), APA’s are needed more than ever.
Be glad for the pay you currently have and use it wisely as your job is being eliminated. Start looking for something else soon.

APA must go to at least $20 per hour. AP/LP is constantly disrespected by basically everyone in the store and to have this most thankless and dangerous and have a cake decorator get paid more is a travesty. I’m an APA and my apprehensions have gone down considerably at least until the pay matches the job responsibilities again. No use in putting yourselves out in harms way making stops if the company your doing it for has no respect on many levels for you or the job you do. Step it up walmart.
APA will be going away as most cities are not prosecuting shoplifters anymore. Also, too much liability to stop someone and dangerous as well.
Those cities that are still prosecuting shoplifters only make the person pay restitution. Walmart makes more on restitution (usually 3X the amount of what was stolen) so they actually make money from theft if the people are caught. Just as easy to give police the video and let them deal with it.
Well I’m just saying it used to be one of the top paying jobs in the store. A lot more than a department manager. Now they are now team leads and are making $18 and up a hour.
A cake decorator making $18 per hour..
How is a $13 cashier making “way more” than a $16 APA?
