To those who think you have right to choose whether to get vaccination, companies have their right too on the vaccination status of their employees. If you are misfit here, just go and find a right employer that suit your needs. Everyone is dispensable, specially the unskilled ones with automation and robotics. And that'll create new jobs for another category of folks. Ones loss is another person's gain. Choose the right side for you...

Pepsi is working on a huge automation program. Guess who is it going to replace, those id--ts who are bailing and ones who are taking undue advantage by politicizing vaccination. If you are worried about injecting a chemical, are you saying you did not get your immunization as a kid? So what does everyone think will happen? Is Pepsi going to stand by their word and fire executives for not getting vaccinated and deny the fact that vaccination doesn’t stop the spread anyway and ignore science with prior infection antibodies?

They’ll never be able to levy this policy on the frontline, will be DOA as just like Southwest, people will say f it. Lots of jobs out there.

The super angry guy that keeps posting (and often being deleted) yelling about how people who are unwilling to get vaccinated aren't needed at this company. How angry will you be when you have to do double duty with no extra pay to cover the jobs of people who get fired for not getting vaccinated?

We already can't fill jobs as it is. When people get fired for refusing vaccinations, it's going to be real bad.

Pep isn't the only company doing mandates, most companies are. I think there's multiple reasons why, but the biggest just being that people should get vaccinated. I'm having a really hard time understanding why so many people are against this. Do you not want this pandemic to end? What right do you have endangering everyone around you? Completely selfish...

This is a veiled restructuring for LG1+. Nothing else. If they truly cared about 'health' they wouldve mandated in the frontline population (which they wont do because they wouldnt be able to make & sell potato chips and soda very well any longer). Pepsico - you can do better and stand up for individual freedom and also the science that says natural immunity is in fact the most effective way. Why force a vax on someone who already has the best immunity per the data/science? Why are you leading by emotion and fear?

Hello there, what are the odds of a severe infection from Covid that results in death, and what are the odds of an adverse event following vaccination? If you had a healthy 12 year old boy and research was already showing that their risk of heart issues after vaccination is HIGHER than risks from COVID, maybe you would second guess?

How are highly vaccinated areas doing right now? In theory it shouldn't be spreading much at all if rates are above 80% or higher.

LG1 here who posted about my unwillingness to get the vaccine a few days ago. Not political, as I have recovered from the virus and diligently tracked my antibodies. Why would I risk side effects when I arguably have better protection than the vaccine (that isn’t a vaccine as it doesn’t keep you from getting sick)? HR said get the jab or you are fired. Wonder why my original post was deleted.

This is not just a Pepsico landmine. This is a global landmine that could change the way lives are lead from here going forward. Corps that are trying to mandate a vax for EEs are at major risk of discrimination liability. This has not been vedded and will go to the Surpreme court in the near future. Sweep all political talking points aside. The major risk is the hidden, and quite frankly not reported on, is the hesidency in the minority communities. There is a deep, JUSTIFIED mistrust (Tuskegee experiment fear is real) of a Govt mandated vax which is less than 1yr proven out. Only 29% of AAs have been fully vaxxed to this point. 44% of Hispanic - 60% Caucasion - 72% Asian. With AAs making up the vast majority of hourly wages at manufacturing centers south of the mason-dixon line, Pepsico would be crippled beyond all repair to impliment a mandate on employees, particularly the AA community which would be the vast majority effected by such a move. Its interesting watching all companies position themselves here. No employer can be sued for Covid spread which has been challenged and upheld, but Corps are dipping their toes in the water via press releases to see what public sediment is. Its just reality right now, but I personally do not see the legal and moral justification to force a vax on current employees. New hires, thats a complete different story for another post.

Lg1 here, not getting vaxxed, already have robust antibodies from prior infection. They can keep deleting threads, still not getting one. They’re going to have to hand me a written termination notice, I’ll be waiting. Ton of years with this company, hate to see it end because of a big virtue signal based on feelings, not facts.

There are valid reasons to not get a vaccination besides just religion and health. A person has a right to chose to get vaccinated. A company does not have a right to mandate vaccinations.

I hope that LG1 and above who don't want to get vaccinated stand their ground and defend their rights. If enough do so, PepsiCo will have to back down or lose lots of great talent.

If all the impacted employees just bow down and get the vaccination, this will surely roll down to all salaried employees.

Nonsense - bringing up the value of the vaccine for a person with high, confirmed antibodies is not political.

The Company force-feeding the vaccine to people in that situation via threat of their job IS flat out science denial, and political.

I have people on my team, along with coworkers in that exact situation. They present a far lower “Covid threat” than I do thru my vaccination. Some of them won’t be working here in two months.
