We have a new store manager. All he cares about is that the store is clean so he's been running everyone ragged to clean up. Meanwhile half the store isn't covered cause he have no help. So customers colplain left and right and are walking out

Let me guess - you work in Region 4. It is all Sears mentality, all day long. If they didn't work for Sears, they worked with them somehow at Macy's - it is all a connected garbage pile of has beens.
Sleazy Marvin is happy because he takes $multimillions by the dozen to the bank. Meanwhile those who try to keep his company running in the trenches toil for poverty-level wages. And get threatened as they do.
I never see our sm on the floor unless a district/regional visit is imminent. I swear this dude has an office on the roof or has access to another dimension-he is that unseen. He is not missed anyhow, can t run a register and doesn't know a sc--w from a hammer drill....but knows who hasn't been not doing their ap4me last week. Lowes is paying this maroon 170k? Yikes.
We are getting the store ready for a regional "walk on water" visit this coming week. Putting lipstick on a pig still makes it a pig. Meanwhile we are about 30 people short. Numerous call outs every day. Employees are BURNT OUT!
We have had our store manager for two years after a prior one who was here since 2006. This new one is nicknamed "The Absentee Manager." He takes frequent vacations, is seldom at the store after 2pm, never works weekends, delegates everything to his ASMs, and can't fill in anywhere, not in the sales floor, running a register, getting out items from top stock or cutting keys for customers, or running power equipment. The former manager could do virtually anything in the store. So now, is it any surprise that ours is the only store in the district that is at a negative comp? We are being walked every week by district or regional managers, and for most of them, "The Absentee Manager" is not in the store. We were over 65 million a year, not any more, and morale is in the toilet. I hope Sleazy Marvin is happy.
