Everyone remember that year we got the option to buy stocks at the low low price of $5.25 per share and then the stock struggled to get above $3. Then they filed bankruptcy and those options disappeared. But if you were a c-suite employee, you got to sail away with millions and you were the ones that drove it into bankruptcy due to their poor decisions and overspending. But the greatest assets were the ones to suffer.
I was planning (and would have loved) to “ride that inflated salary a bit longer AND jump ship right before the inevitable crash”.
It didn’t work unfortunately, as my position was erased, with hundreds of others, during the BK.
I think that those still employed at CHK are not quite playing a chess game, they are playing more a Russian roulette round...
Chesapeake basically just hit the reset button but didn't change the way it operates so it's just playing chess against a computer making all the same moves as before & will eventually hear "checkmate" again. In the process though, major stakeholders and leadership will get filthy rich at the expense of common shareholders & employees who will lose money and their jobs. To think otherwise would be the "definition of insanity". Knowing this, you can plan your moves according (sell at the right time, ride that inflated salary a bit longer, jump ship right before the inevitable crash)
Question:
When are the banks that now own and control CHK going to be fed up with this colluded management ?
I can’t believe that the post-BK CHK is still in the very same tragic situation as before, i.e. managed by these buffoons.
What is really going to take for a serious cleansing ?
AKA the untouchables and HR or Security and now HSE are told to not ask questions. Since the new CHK allows guessing the BOD going to allow even this look away mentally even if people don’t make it home at end of shift!
So we got alcoholic running one business unit and a pill popper running another. How am I not surprised that we are in the situation we in. What truest ironic is that our pill popper was the one that did the investigation. Talk about da blind leading da blind.
Y’all leave DT along, we know during the weekend we don’t have to worry about him being around or able to answer calls and during football season if the saints are playing you can even smell it still on him Monday. Again one of the untouchables as he puts it since our VP interned for him and everyone else is a step child. But the same old sayings about safety or how great things were in App when he ran things. Wonder how they will spin it when the OSHA reports come out.
Look at the bonuses they gave the managers in BV so they would keep their mouths shut. It is was released in the bankruptcy documents. Your life is worth millions to the managers, but not your family. Too bad there was no accountability then, and still none today.
I was one of 5 the safety personnel in BV during that event. And out of 6 safety, I was the only one in the field as always. And I am the one that they fired because I would not lye on the stand for CHK. People lost there lives for no reason. I heard it was to save a little money, what a joke.
Lack of experience and/or total disregard of industry standards cause fatal accidents. CHK management is a combination of both.
Sad but if you think the VP of southern cares about safety just think about the meeting they showed us the sc--w up in BV with fatalities and the same entire leadership still there. Got to realize it is just talk the same way they “report “ venting in BV!!!! If you one of the boys crew you golden and not even HR or Security can touch you.
This is no joke. You should be down here in STX right now. We runnin things like the Wild West since safety ain’t around anymore. Makes my job easy.
