CTC and all its predecessors (really the same group and strategy all along, just different names) only made sense when we had a number of largely clueless international operations (check the numbers - historically that's where CTC made all its money). Can you name ANYTHING CTC developed that was truly 'industry leading'? Minus Thailand, Indonesia, North Sea, minus Tengiz (which was never a big CTC customer anyways), and with fading funding from GOM, SJVBU, and West Africa, CTC is basically doomed. They only have a few years left at current size.

The Transformation was supposed to 'simplify' time writing (which historically is a death knell for ANY internal organization) and remove the stigma and paperwork. After less than a year, that "Prague Spring" is clearly being silenced most likely because CTC can't point to any technical successes or value-add. As is her history, EB will be throwing her employees under the bus - only another year and she'll be moving out and up anyways. CTC employees, especially geo-types, you better dust off your resumes and start looking at either BU positions (lots available in Midland), academic positions, or some other oil company. It won't be long before all CTC work will be outsourced anyways - the BUs are already quietly doing that.

Quite a few of the ETC earth scientists have been claiming they are doing less than 100 hours of free work every week, 100% of their time with nothing to back it up but some fishy-looking emails. So, the hammer is falling.

GOM require a GO113 for all work, yes even <100 hours

This is the completely predictable logical result result of another one of Joe’s genius transformation decisions.

Honestly, did anyone really and truly believe that management were not going to need financial accountability for work of less than 100hrs.
The centre needs to pay for it's inflated staffing and pay for the many remaining layers of management.

Honestly ITC, TPS, CTC, whatever time-keeping is a joke compared to what contractors have to do. I've been in both situations at Chevron.

Just go to your BU vendor. Its cheaper, better quality, customer service, and you also get free food and trips. Woo hoo, clear winner!

CTC is too expensive and nobody knows where the money is going so they’re starting to look everywhere to figure out what’s happening.

I thought less than 100 hours was “just do it, no questions asked” because we are agile.
