Anyone actually have pics of the new break room refresh? Can’t get any help and manager demands it be done in 3 days. HELLO it takes people to help. Also what’s up the cubicle or ASA? Why can’t they just have the office.

There will be a television on which Lowe's propaganda, and talks delivered by Marvin with the Dishonest, Sleazy Smile, will be played during OUR time when we are trying to have our meal breaks.
Our store had 3 designs done. A vote was held with forms left in a ballot box in the break room. Design number 2 won hands down. It had 3 microwave stations, a hot drink station, a cold drink station, and a counter area with multiple outlets on the wall for crock pots during pitch ins. Also had new tables and chairs similar to restaurants.
That was an awesome design. We had won a sales contest and were given a budget for the redo that covered the changes. We even had a used restaurant equipment guy get us an awesome price on some items. Schedule was set for implementation.
Turns out the LP and Market director had final approval. We got 2 “new” plastic tables, some discontinued wallpaper border on one wall, and they moved the lockers and vending machines about 6 feet to the left. Was a real boost to our morale. FU we said en masse. Btw we still used the ice pack in the freezer to put on the thermostat to trick it into heating the break room in winter. This was the time I started actively looking for a new job. Thank you so much Lowe’s!!
The break room was always the dirtiest, nastiest part of the store that I worked in. Our staff’s idea of ‘cleaning’ it was making a couple of closing cashiers go in and empty the garbage once a week.
How about just keeping it clean during a pandemic at my store most employees eat in their cars because the break room is so disgusting
Out last one got damaged refrigerators and leftover displays from Kitchen Cabinets. Done on the cheap. All they did not do on the cheap was use mis-mixed paint. Maybe they'll do better this time but I am not holding my breath.
