Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

It's Monday, guess how many open positions at RJ

Ok, ok, I won't keep you waiting. As of this post there are 466 open positions at RJ. I am looking forward to when we reach 550 which is the number of us laid off on 9/15/20. Wouldn't that be a nice award to see it happen on that day and then for Tampa Bay Times to call him for an interview. I spoke to 2 former peers still at RJ over the weekend. They told me that moral has never been worse. One of them told me that they have had to bring in contractors to help since RJ HR is unable to fill so many positions. This person asked his boss (my old boss) why hasn't RJ approached any former employees. He was told that this is not an option according to senior management. I wish they would approach me so that I can tell them I need a huge raise, retroactive as well as resumption of all benefits as if I was never let go. I'm not holding my breath.

Not true regarding the 1 year bridge for rehires....Schirm quit RJ for 1.5 years to work in North Carolina and came back with full benefits and accruals....

Thank you for your reply. Everything is negotiable. When I hired on 15 years ago I asked for and received an extra week of vacation. So this morning there are now 472 open positions. Getting closer to that 550.

Just so you know, the bridging policy for benefits for a rehire is 1 year. After that you have to start over
