If yes, why?

When they downsized Proximity in 2018, a few CSs went to Lib Mutual. All of them except for one quit Lib Mutual within a year or two. I guess coming from SIU didn't prep them for field estimatics work. One large loss CS went back to SF in order to max out their pension. Only one CS that I know of stayed at Lib Mutual and loves it. No climbing on roofs! (You'd think SF would discontinue roof climbing just to avoid the work comp issues.) Lib Mutual allows personal miles on the company car, which is an SUV that looks normal sitting in your driveway).

Aside from those examples, everyone else I know who left hasn't looked back.

No, I left and can't imagine returning. Never heard of anyone trying to go back to claims at SF.

Working in claims is Stockholm syndrome. Feel sorry for those folks, and also anyone tied to living in Bloomington. You can only eat at biaggis so many times.

Yep! Particularly in Bloomington. Obviously a completely different job market than the Hubs, which have greater competition and many more employer options. Almost impossible to find similar job with similar pay and benefits in 61701, unless Country is hiring, and in those situations they are looking for a super specialized skill set. If your a TM in ET I would strongly recommend you start learning how to actually perform your technical analysts daily jobs. Vast majority don’t, and everyone knows that. Otherwise, “IT Leadership Experience” coupled with little to no technical skills is basically worthless within the Bloomington job marketplace. Jus sayin…..from experience.

@ctg+1ctNxkqJ This is perhaps the most non sensical post I’ve read here. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I hope you’re one of the people who have left.

I left SF many years ago and am now retired. About ten years ago, I was speaking to an old friend who I had once supervised and had taken an agency appointment at SF. I told him that leaving SF was difficult initially, but that because of the 401K plan where I went
I thought that I had gotten way ahead of where I would have been at SF. He just laughed.
I asked him why he was laughing. He said, "It doesn't matter whether you came out ahead or not - all of the claims people I know are miserable". My only regret is that I did not leave earlier. Another former colleague, who left before me, once said to me, "SF doesn't deserve the good claims people it has". He has had a wonderful career since leaving. SF is very skilled at selling the golden handcuffs party line, but they are deceivers through and through. Leaving SF is like getting out of a marriage to an unfaithful spouse. In my case, I found a much better place to work and did not have to endure the continual upheaval that I heard about at SF over the years.

Not one person I know over 20 years now. Most people wished they had the courage to leave early, and some wondered why they didn't leave earlier. Golden handcuff and Stockholm syndrome are for real.

Lotsa folks in ET giving each other high fives for all the “work” they are doing replacing people who already had systems and processes and people in place to do (and did it well) reinventing the wheel is a waste of policyholders money and employees time.

It’s all Elementary school mentality & so are the metrics and KPIs and HR performance process and systems.

The Vivify fiasco simply put the money and projects in a bunch of TMs and inexperienced existing staff’s hands. Not very bright and very wasteful and risky.

It’s clearly too many leaders and staff getting paid way more than they are really worth making themselves stars and acting like go getter PMs. Those who left may regret missing the show at others expense.

Pretty sure some people regret leaving but the big bonus ones stay for reasons (nepotism amd guaranteed promotions) for doing very little.

Am sure those who got let go & reassigned did a ton more for less pay than many on ET with big titles now.

Third parties are deceitful. As is the show.
Nepotism still thrives at Farm.
