You probably were not appreciated by Belk, for all your hardwork, loyalty, patience, disrespect you endured through the years.
Not all stores, not all managers treat their employees like Belk does. It's the associates, (yes, the lowly paid, and unrewarded) who kept the store up and running, while the company made millions, managers made bonuses and went on their trips/vacations.
Most companies have enough common sense and realize how valuable associates are. Another employer will see your potential, and welcome you.
