We are not understaffed, we are more than understaffed. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I worked only the bare minimum because it no longer makes sense to make an effort in this company that is not even trying to get back on track. Admittedly, my conscience bothers me a bit because I'm used to being a hard worker, but it's the only way for someone to save their health.

This is pretty much the attitude of everyone on my team. Even the diehard workers have realized that there is no point in giving 110% anymore. Just do enough to stay off of leadership's radar but nothing extra.
All astl’s are quitting due to the workload and work-life balance.
You have have to be pretty useless to decide to stay at this point if you are store leadership a legal team can replace store leadership at a moments notice and run the the region while amazon makes millions.
Nobody is applying for the numerous positions we have open. Current TMs are burnt out and looking for other options. Myself as a TL included. We can't sustain all of the programs and asks from above at the moment so now it's about doing what we can and letting things go.
I went on Covid leave almost a year ago. I doubt anyone high risk is returning anytime soon. Things were a nightmare 12 months ago and from following the forums it sounds like its only gotten worse.
i heard they are doing this on purpose to clean house. I guess their way of thinking is
"Why are we paying people $20+ when we can replace them with an unlimited pool of $15 workers"
the worst part from what i can gather is that the workers left have literally 0 leverage. No matter how much your STL likes you, Amazon would rather have you gone and will probably push you out if you dont quit.... i feel bad for ASTL/ TL positions the most because i have a feeling they are going to get it hard this year
All stores are understaffed. We had a visit from regional vice president today and the STL and ASTL had to ring for hours. Lines backed up into all aisles. Customers were angry. We couldn't even stock the shelves because the lines were in the way. The regional vice president had to be a bag boy. Hopefully this first hand experience will get some more labor thrown our way.
haha ya. none of the SD stores are that nice ... DMR is but all the good workers i know left already. HC is so small and gross. LAJ is nice but has the worst workers
wont be my problem anymore soon. goodluck to the people left!
DMR LAJ and HIL... we all understaffed!
its like that in san diego but they are hiring again . im leaving anyway so i dont really care. this place is a dump lol
