Old-timers or new employees?

Like the next in line is an improvement
It’s all about $$$. If you are making too much and they can find someone with lower salary you will be next.
Higher salary and 30 year technicians
Old. Most newer hires are contractors paid by a third party so when X tries to reduce head count, getting rid of contract workers doesn't help.
Someone who expresses truth to those who don't want to hear it.
Both since they have to show they are not targeting one particular group (older employees come to mind) Usually a younger employee is sacrificed for several older employees. WARN filings prove it all!!
Whoever is making the most money, and their job can be done by Sanjay in Bangalore.
I know both groups are targeted, by the way, I'm just wondering which is getting hit harder.
