Someone mentioned that many people here had side gigs while WFH, that is, that they were devoted much less to working for Cisco than to their side jobs.
I don't believe that's true. Sure there must be some individuals who do that, but with the amount of work I have I wouldn’t be able to do any side work.

@mqn+1coLxDnW Cisco has been ripping off its employees since day 1. Only the ELT and top execs get the top bonuses. "Nothing wrong with ripping off the ripper", Robbin Hood.
Only way Cisco or the other company can find out is if they look at my tax returns. I hope the WFH continues indefinitely.
There are other ways. Hopefully you're smart enough to use the device that each company provides you for only work associated with that company and that you have both devices connected to your home network directly using separate VPN connections.
But if you keep dropping out of meetings when someone asks you a question, or you frequently miss meetings, it's a telltale sign you're double booked for meetings and people WILL wonder why it happens repeatedly.
You can get away with it for a while, and for all the I-got-away-with-it-this-time, it only takes one oh-sh-t-I-fu---d-up moment to crash and burn.
This has been happening way too much at Cisco. It's called dishonest at a minimum. If you look at it objectively it is theft and the person doing so is an absolute thief that would steal from his/her mother. We've seen it more with the contractors doing it but I think regular employees are doing it as much. I think that because of the trust that the manager has in the individual to work for what they are getting paid, not to rip off the company or take a position that I can find someone that isn't a liar, a thief, or morally bankrupt.
Not a side gig, I have a real 2nd fulltime job while still holding my Cisco job. Only way Cisco or the other company can find out is if they look at my tax returns. I hope the WFH continues indefinitely.
This is the excuse narcissistic bosses use because they need all the slaves working at the office so they can get te--orize them live. No fun doing that via Webex without your camera on.
The incompetents also suffer since remote work requires people to deliver actual work. Incompetents thrive at the office where they look busy while doing nothing but sucking up to the Executives and taking credit for the real work done by others.
No. It's true.
I think it’s fake news used to conjure up fake sentiment about Cisco.
