No job is safe, but does every month have to be a layoff month at Xerox? I constantly have to worry about what will happen next month. How do they expect people to be motivated and do their best if they know that they can be shown the door at any time? X is a nerve racking job and honestly, I would prefer to become the target of layoffs which are rumored to be around the corner. Does anyone have verified info?

It’s a paycheck nothing more . In todays environment never think of it as a career. One can be discarded at the blink of an eye. Xerox management is fixated on short term results and layoffs are their main tool to achieve questionable financial results …
Xerox is no longer the benchmark for an employee first company …You are a
head count costing piece of meat to be
used and discarded as needs dictate.
The psychological impact it has on your mental well being is horrible, the amount of workload the existing employees have, the non existent work life balance, the non raises, the no bonus, the verbal abuse some receive from their sr. Leader is damaging to anyone's health and soul. Wish there was a way to bring this company to the US Labor Department's attention and or file a class action lawsuit...horrible place.
A lot of us did it for 25 years, bud. It is a part of Xerox's heritage. Rumors, moving boxes stacked in the hallways, direction to stay in your cube until the layoff is complete. It is a constant source of stress tbat weighs on you. It affects your performance, it affects your family life, it is a stress you don't need. Accept it as your life , or leave. Your choice!
