Now I'm happy if I still have a job the following week.

Good luck !
Xrx sucks now days. Beenthat wat for awhile. Glad I'm gone.
I loved working with Xerox when I started in the 90s but 22 years later I felt they did me a favor when I got IRIFed the evening before what would have been the first day of year 23. I was not happy how company ethics and morale had dropped to the basement. I have since learned there IS life after Xerox!
Signs of Xerox’s plans for your future retirement started in the 80’s with changeover to RIGP. Hypothetical self funded 4% annual salary contributions with 2% growth factors. Then 3% 401k matching. Then no RIGP and 3% 401k matching sometimes, and finally no 401k matching. Don’t forget changing medical benefits from those of an employee, to a stipend, then to nothing. Forget longterm service after 30 years, 30 plus adds nothing, and neither do any years after 2012. I’ve forgotten a lot, but I’m sure others can fill in from here.
Okay…..Good luck with that. You can’t fix stupid, or should I say downright evil people. I hope you have not counted on your future xerox dividends too much. Not a good plan. Just a thought.
Doesn’t have to be this way.
Upper management needs to re-invest in their workforce and stop their short term fixation on the bottom line ..Xerox still is a sleeping giant. Given proper direction and long term strategy engineering initiatives will produce future dividends. The force be with you !
Agreed, the days of you work hard, do good for the company and will be able to retire from it someday are long gone. Not just for Xrx...but many companies overall
The following day, even.
