The company purposefully relocated jobs to Asian markets because they can exerete total control over the employees without any repercussions. There is no EEOC, there are no discrimination laws, there nothing to stop the Corporation from discriminating however they want to and exercising their control however they want to over the employees in the countries. Our managers are total ego control sociopath control freaks and in these countries they have free rein with no penalties and nothing to stop them. As an added bonus, the salaries are one fifth of what they pay Americans so they reap huge bonuses and RSUs in return. They could care less about discrimination, cronyism, women's rights, etc. Etc. It is all about power, money and s-x on this planet for sociopaths of which our management are exclusive members in this club.
If it's like other assets, you can include a healthy dose of nepotism too.
