Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

Argument over RTO

From the looks of posts, there is such a toxic and divisive opinion of returning to work. Where people threatening others that if they don’t come they will get sacked.

What a toxic work environment, the company, the management and certain people themselves have created.

This argument is a microcosm of working at MS, whose work environment is anything but inclusive. Every little thing is backed up with a threat of getting fired. Such a toxic and stressful work environment.

Hold off on the experimental jab until November. You’ll be glad you waited….

I don’t for once believe getting the vaccine is a bad idea. In fact I think it’s the best option you can do.

Certain comments here are factually inaccurate. Majority, more than 99% of now UK’s hospital admissions are of unvaccinated or single jabbed. Less than 1% double jabbed.

But I believe getting the vaccine should be a personal choice.

And MS should embrace people’s different wishes on how they wish to work. If a person can do his job well, the same way his race, fundamental beliefs about his or her religion, s-x etc shouldn’t be the grounds for discrimination, so shouldn’t it be his wish to work remotely and keep himself and his family safe from a largely unknown decease.

Last I heard, from high up, be prepared to go back a minimum of 3 days per week. Not negotiable except for extreme cases.

For those who refuse, I would think salary cut / first to be let go during the next layoff is your fate.

For the unvaccinated, I would think your career at MS is over.

Interesting remark to the effect ' if you can afford to dine out in NY, you can afford to commute to work'. This is a 'let them eat cake' level comment worthy of the ancienne regime of Louis XVIII and Marie Antoinette. Gorman is not, I believe, eating at Chucky Cheese or Applebees with a net worth of about $150 million. An average commute into the city is about 400-500 per month in transpo. Say 8 grand over 2 years and you get to stand in overheated trains/buses/subways or crushed on the PATH. Put that in a mutual fund, or college fund.

MEDICAL FREEDOM IMPERILED. As to the forced vaccination - it is an emergency authorization, is unapproved and has never been through animal testing. Meaning the effect on the human reproductive cycle is unknown. Remember the Thalidomide babies (born with flippers or without arms or eyes in the middle of the stomach) of the 1960s. Morgan is acting more and more 'woke' even removing the terms 'blackout' and brownout' as they are now deemed racially insensitive. The vaccine propaganda machine is in full swing with a complicit media, academia, medical establishment etc. Should never be administered to women of childbearing years. High number of adverse cardiac events in young men. Same for people w/antibodies (about 200 million Americans) likewise ill effected. You, not MS, determines what risk to take. In Iceland, Israel, even the woke UK, 75%+ of new cases are amongst - you guessed - the vaccinated.

Already have. Moved over to private equity. Best move ever.

However still think it’s sad that you believe bullying and marginalising your fellow colleagues at MS is the best way to work together. If people don’t feel safe to come to office and can do their job better at home, they shouldn’t be forced to come in to keep you company in the office.
