For those that have worked at GM and Ford… which is better/worse?

Why do GM people always try to make things about Ford? Reminds me of the old GM salute. You might remember that from when GM was under...defered criminal prosecution :o

Like all the advertisements about GM leading the electric future, GM culture dictates that reality is in the eye of the sociopath. To win, one only needs to make others think that they've won.

More of a openly criminal element at Ford. Lying and cheating on everything. At GM, you are insulated from this by your EGM. It probably still goes on but they are better at keeping you out of their shenanigans.

Ford is a 1970s mantality joke, and GM is in bed with the Chi Co---e's.

Open about their intention to treat you like garbage? I'm sure that I would have not taken the job at GM if that was the case.

At GM they at least were open about their intention to treat you like garbage. At Ford, they play this "family" shtick all the while looking to drop a kn--e in your back.

Ford Employee of 4 years and GM employee of 5 years (current). I liked Ford, it really felt like a family company. That said, I think Ford is cheap. The benefits are cr-p compared to GM. My heath insurance at GM is way better than Ford. My bonuses tended to be larger too. Still, if I had to go back to Ford, I wouldn't mind, it was a good company - cheap - but good company.
