Should people who have jobs that can be done 100% from home be concerned that their job could be done from anywhere?

One of my old mentors at a previous companies always said, “the closer you are to the cases, the safer you are.” That being said- I think anything L6 and under is most likely safe. Can’t stock shelves, drive trucks, load pallets, etc effectively from India. I think L7 and up is a different story and many of us could be replaced with a few exceptions. I know for a fact my job could be done from elsewhere because it basically already is with the analysts and support staff I have.
Could you be replaced by a monkey? If you're a manager, the answer is yes.
Should be concerned for your job regardless of whether you work from home or not.
That Drive for 15 (Margin) won’t happen by itself, and the leadership sure won’t be taking any paycuts...
@2njs+1ccDTfiA do you know this about payroll? I have been wondering as I am in payroll as well. I just want to know when.
Payroll is next to go, right?
I don't think it has anything to do with the accessibility to doing the work, it's just that the company seems to want somebody else to do it for cheaper. It probably wouldn't have mattered if they were working from home, an office, or both.
They've seen record breaking profits, despite a global pandemic that drove many companies out of business, but looks like they're still putting profits over people. 😔
As long as they have an internet connection, anyone can do our jobs at a fraction.
Anything level 5 and below will be sent overseas.
Guessing you are talking frito? Pepsi is front line and managers and 1or 2 admins per building….and the will eliminate that shortly
Yes. The could easily send the WFH jobs off shore.
yes they should be concerned. I think the only people they will keep are frontline and managers. maybe 1 admin per zone.
