i have been to the belk griffin GA and it is a mess and managers won;t lift a finger to help the clerks. it seems to be getting worse. i feel bad for the employees. nobody deserves to work for such a shoddy company.

They really don't care. And what's really hard is we have to act like it's a normal situation and everything's great.
They're having a hiring event Aug. 7 at the Snellville, Belk. I don't know what the starting pay is, or if they receive a $300 sign bonus.
How unfair it is, if they're paying new hires more than the employees who have stayed and worked so hard, during this only 3 registers open in the entire store.
This company puts on a show with their charity propaganda events, but could care less about the employees.
You are so right. Our store has gotten very shoddy also. Our store manager is never there. Its being run by selling captains and an HR person that has forgotten that people are human. Where do I start. I am part time but I have been working mostly full time hours since furlough. After 8 days in a row my HR person calls me at home to let me know that I took the wrong break even though that was what the daily schedule said. Wait a minute I thought that was your job to post the daily schedule correctly. I guess I will have to check reflexis every day before I go on break. Our store is so empty again that almost every customer is asking " Are you closing?". The amount of markdowns in ladies is so immense that customers feel overwhelmed. They have hired a a bunch young people who need a lot of guidance but are not getting any yet the managers hound us in the morning meetings about all the stuff that's being done wrong. And we are supposed to pass it on. Once again I thought that was your job. I have been trying to hang on because I think it won't be long before they close but I have to find another way out. Every day I am on the verge of giving notice. And just so you trolls know I am actively looking for another job but don't want to get into another situation like belk. I agree wholly with SThh 'Why bother anymore" and every reply is so spot on. It is nice to see that other people understand. Good luck to all of you.
