Transfer

Moving! How does transfer from Sams to Walmart work?
No Sams near new home!
Do you stay at Same pay and are you automatically accepted ?

So honestly, this isn’t hard. Associates move from Sam’s to Walmart and vice-versa all the time. HR has a process. Contact the new location, let them know where you are now and what you’re doing. They can look up the rest. Let your old store know and give them a date.

All this assumes you have a good standing at your old store.

I transferred between Walmart stores and it was easy. I just told my Store manager and HR person I was moving (different state) and I wanted to work a the Walmart by my new home. I called the new store the week before I wanted to start and they knew I was coming and had all the paperwork done. The key is being a good employee at your current store. If you are a slacker or have attendance or attitude issues your store manager is not going to give you a good review and your potential new store manager will find an excuse to not hire you.

Transferring from Sam's Club to a Walmart is a terrible decision. I did it. It was terrible. Totally different atmosphere. I would try to go to a Sam's if possible.

Walmart shlubs make less than their sams club upper class associates. Be prepared for sticker and culture shock

Its a pain even between the same WW stores. Better to contact new store and tell them you are moving and the date you will be coming in. They will take care of everything if they need you. If not you will be working next day at the new store as all stores are desperate. May not be in the same area you are in but its a job

Transfers work like anything else - look up the area in career prefs, see if there is any openings, apply, call the PL and let them know and so on.

And if you think you stay at the same pay and are automatically accepted then I got a bridge to sell you.

You’re moving not Walmart is moving you, he-l no they don’t have to accept you so you better not have cr-p attendance or disciplinary actions.
