anyone who knows anything knows the 300% share price increase has nothing to do with performance. When share price increases CLT jellyfish and their jellyfish SVPs all pat themselves on the back, you know investors love the merger, we’ve earned our $32MM bonuses. If share price tanked it would be the investor’s fault.. they’re not appreciating aaaallll that we are. Pathetic.
The question is not whether you will see growth over the next 10 years but how that growth will compare to the competition or alternative investments. Based on how this company is run, you are no doubt wiser investing your money elsewhere.
Yeah, was going to say.. We were never Number one or close to it, ever. I feel that after we split off from Encana, and our stock shot up, there was a level of arrogance internally with some people (not everyone) that was noticed by many in industry and a major turnoff. It's a topic for another thread, but the worst thing was splitting the companies. An idea purely executed on short term thinking and greed. The people at the top got very rich, but here we are.
It was never first really. The company always struggled hard. Once your take a honest look at the firm you will see it has mostly been luck. That being said, the company has an honest to god chance of being great with the merger if there ever was one. Invest over 10 years and you will see growth.
We love watching the carnage.
