The problem is IBM lacks diversity in thought! Look at their senior management chain who proudly brand themselves as leaders and announce that they’ve been in the company for decades!!! “I’ve joined as a grad!”!!!

if the terms of the agreement were that it was an advance on 2 years, just like vesting RSUs, then yes, he deserves that. We will never know unless the terms of the "special payment" are disclosed. No need to sensationalize this nonsense.
