Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Leave on your own terms

There's no point in staying and building a career here. The longer you stay, the bigger problem you become for the company. When layoffs come around, chances are higher you'll be affected than not. If you don't leave on your own, they'll make sure to push you out. I've decided I'd rather leave on my terms than let them find a way to get rid of me. I'm not the only one, so we'll see how the exodus of experienced employees will play out in the long run.

My responsibilities have increased 10 fold over the past two years, my managers do nothing but they are friends with upper management so they stay and delegate. I’m on my way out. I feel a sense of calm knowing they are losing the glue that holds multiple teams together because they gave me multiple peoples responsibilities in multiple teams. I wish them the best hiring replacements :)

For most of the management, they were paid to do nothing. Those people certainly want to come back.

More and more people are leaving. The place is like a bag of bones. Very depressing place to be.

The company has been laying off people since 2005.
Their only concern is saving money by laying off thousands of highly skilled

  1. S workers.

Its all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
