belk is always hiring because they cannot retain good employees. Has anyone noticed those pre recorded messages over the P.A. saying belk offers flexible schedules and competitive pay? does anyone take those seriously ??

Walk into a Big Lots, sometime. Their new hiring announcement calls every workday "A Party". No joke.
They're even so desperate for cheap help as to resort to hiring 16-year-olds for, say, 10-15 hours per week just to avoid any benefits whatsoever. The only catch is the kids can't run the baler machine.
Places are getting sad and desperate.
The pre recorded now hiring false advertisement of competitive pay and her voice are irritatingly redundant.
