I have worked for the company as a merchandiser for several years and have never seen so little inventory going to the holiday. Spend half the time on the floor explaining to customers why we don't have the clothing they are looking for. The only thing we have a lot of is home goods, and not even a good assortment, just a ton of As Seen On TV junk. We are not a neighborhood store so don't think we are closing, store next town over is bigger and also doesn't have much. So many customers complaining, anyone else having this happen?

We are in a A mall and we are getting SLAMMED with merchandise. 3 large trucks a week. No staff can't keep up and get the goods to the floor in a timely manner.
Interesting. Growth store here and we are drowning in merchandise. Small trucks but getting one every day. Can't imagine same foot traffic as ten years ago with more people buying online. Wonder if that means we'll get slammed in fulfillment as holidays draw closer?
Private brands are going to be hurting this holiday season :(
We are drowning in merchandise, growth door.
My CSX in Florida told me apparel receipts aren’t going to be as bad as last year but there’s going to be another shortage in apparel this holiday.
How big is your store? We are a midsize growth door and we currently are receiving 3 trucks a week. Mostly home goods, beauty, men’s furnishings. Also backstage is out of control. RTW stock is our only area that we are below in. Our support team can not keep up with all the merchandise coming in.
We are located in Dallas, TX
Yes we are hurting for new goods and we are getting bad surveys because of it . Big fat zeroes rolling in.
Where are you located?
Not us here in Dallas. Our flagship store doesn't have enough floor space to hold all the new merch! We were sparse for many months, but in the last 30 days we've been inundated. Can hardly walk between the racks anymore.
