What's with all the nepotism at Pepsi? I have been here for a long time and I think there has never been more nepotism than now. Is it possible that it's always been here but now I suddenly notice it better or is it really more present now than ever?

@HQ - I started with the company 3.5 years ago and jumped from a L3 to an L9. I didn’t have a relative or a connection in the company. I’m also not a campus hire. Sometimes hard work pays off. I wouldn’t fault the girl just because her dad worked here too and she’s proud of him and talks about him. I also wouldn’t assume that her rise in level was due to nepotism.
Man I wish I knew who KH and EF were. Must not be in supply chain
How about the senior managers wife now director? Wife came back to Pepsi after being layoff five years ago. She comes back with her old gpid and gets promoted in ten months. While the rest of the team got axed she left right on target saving her from a second layoff.

Yep! KH and EF are best friends. Constantly bragging about growing up in CA, TX, together.
Same sorry with initials KH at Frito in Plano Texas. Her Father is a now retired exec and all she talks about is her father and how she got a position within Frito. She has since been promoted and we are all remote so not sure if she still talks about it but it was very annoying to hear all the time when we were in the office early last year.
You are seeing more of it due to the high number of people moving to Texas. I had a gal in my department that would tell everyone her dad was retired director with over 30 years at HQ. He made the careers of many and this was just payback. She moved to Plano started as a level 3 now a level 7 in 2 years. Even her husband got a coveted role.
