Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Real talk

I use to drink the Kool Aid from leadership until one day. I stopped and like everything with life people use all forms of manipulation to step on you, over you to meet their demands or goals. Since I couldn't share this with leadership even though they encourage being open I doubt they will listen. Why? Because they are the experts just like with an corporation or government for that matter and only pursue their careers while fake acting like they care about the people below them. I hear all sorts of opinions on here some factual, some conspiracy based but the true is your just another cog in the wheel. I spent most of my career in Systems now known as ET and witnessed the amount of waste paid to people who couldn't tie a shoe correctly. People who pretend to be smarter than they actually are. With that being said I know plenty of people who work in the life Blood of our company that get crapped on in claims. I mean these are people who get treated worse than 2nd class citizens. They deal with the costumers and potential customers. They are the most stressed group with cr---y pay. They are consistently micromanage, assigned to fail because of poor leadership in that area. As I sit here and think about how over paid I am to contribute what I can until retirement. I truly feel bad for my co-workers in claims. State Farm will continue to exist with there flawed business plan well after I retire. But during that time if they don't reward those that reflect the company speaking to customers or potential customers like with any business they will continue to lose market shares. Just my piece.

@oxd It's one thing to voice concerns on an anonymous website, but the likelihood of people speaking up about their concerns IRL is less likely. Anyone in a leadership position should already know how bad things have been for quite some time. Be prepared for your concerns to be deflected back to you.

SF is abusive. They need to be concerned about the consequences their abuse has on their employees. It only takes one to generate disasterous results.

The mental health issues and substance abuse needs to start at the top so as to set an example. It is like a parent saying to a child don't smoke while they have a cigarette in their hands.

Yeah compassion fatigue is a very real issue. It’s the reason why certain medical professionals may only see x amount of people per day, or genuinely speaking most professionals that fox human problems.

Not having a breather between calls or conversations with 2 different personalities will ki-l you over time. Leads to problems way past work, and into inner personal relationships.

I have up on my psychology degree as it ultimately made me quite depressed.
