Thread regarding Belk layoffs

A long time customer told me today that the store in Branson had barely any merchandise on the shelves . Anybody heard of any other store in this situation? My store is full of merchandise here in Oxford, MS. That being said, most of our merchandise is clearance. We have received lots of fine jewelry and our good cookware though. Our uber brands are mostly gone and replaced with brands I've never heard of. I'm proud of our associates and managers working so hard to keep the store in order with all the challenges we face especially since corporate could care less about our customers and especially us associates. My only satisfaction will be the carma that hopefully finds its way to Charlotte.
