Believe me, I don't have any strong opinions on the matter, but I have to wonder now how all the anti-vaxxers are going to handle this (also, how do you 'weekly test' WFHers?). I also have to wonder how this has any impact when 80+% of the company is WFH, that is, has no physical contact with any co-workers (and hasn't in 18 months), and likely won't be back in the office until well into 2022.

In Israel, as of Aug. 15 301 fully vaccinated people had an illness severe enough to require hospitalization. They represented just 53 out of every million fully vaccinated Israelis. At the same time, 214 hospitalized people were not vaccinated. Those people made up a much bigger fraction of the smaller population of unvaccinated people: 164 out of every million. So an unvaccinated Israeli is about three times as likely to end up in the hospital as their vaccinated compatriot.

Hang in there, be patient. The truth will come to light. I feel that persons on each side of the vaccine issue need to be respectful of the opinions of others. Protect your health in the best manner which you personally see fit. However, we all should also be aware of the aims of larger forces at play here. It should be clear to all that the social, medical, governmental and financial efforts of the past 18 months are not only about controlling a virus or preserving public health. There are several other broad goals being pursued by powerful organizations, global institutions and collective interests. Hold fast to your beliefs, rights and freedoms as many seek to strip them from you using false narratives and outright coercion. There are things being done today which may or may not be undone. It's up to you to inform and educate yourself so that you have enough insight to see the difference between the two. Best to act according to your own judgement not simply follow the path of least resistance. There is much at stake.

Delta Airlines is looking at adding a $200 month to HC premium for non vac as they estimate cost per case at 40k. Put the emotions aside it’s business. People are looking to the majors for direction.
We’ve been into this a year n half now would like to know what kind of claims have hit on the company’s health care fund. Being a self funded pool based on non pandemic metrics, I guessing it might be impactful and would expect rates to go up next renewal period as someone is paying for the hospital loads. If that’s the case I don’t see any company pushing back on mandate and may even welcome it just out of self preservation.

The Biden WH allows for exemptions because of the backlash it’s getting. Businesses are relieved because they're off the hook in mandating vaccines. Without a federal mandate, they'd be antagonizing their employees who might just walk off the job if the companies gave their own mandates. Healthcare workers are resigning rather than get the jab. You'd think they'd be the most well-informed on the status of vaccine efficacy and side effects.

Study followed ~600,000 cases in 13 states from April to mid-July in 13 states.
Unvaccinated 4.5 times more likely to get infected with COVID than fully vaccinated (FV).
Unvaccinated 10 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID than FV.
Unvaccinated 11 times more likely to die of COVID than FV.
Being unvaccinated has cr---y odds. Even if you survive, what about long-COVID?
Nonetheless, I have engineer friend who refuses to get vaccinated. He’s against masks and social distancing too.
He’s gone to Vegas 1-2 times per year for last 15 years and he swears that he’s never lost money (and nothing illegal).
I guess he’s “lucky.”

And the govt is not applying this to the Postal Service. Why? Because their unions are so strong. Funny how the mandates don't apply to some and many minorities. If not required across the board the Supreme Court will not side with it.

As long as there is no vaccine for small kids, WFH will continue, the longer that continues the harder to convince people to come back to office.
Taking vaccine or not at this point only impacts hospitals and medical care facilities, and daily deaths, but will not impact WFH unless the case numbers come below 20,000 per day.
So you have enough principles/beliefs to not get the vaccine, but are willing to lie about it to “keep your job.”

If you think anyone is tracking the vaccine passport you’re nuts. There is not one official card and the numbers don’t even differentiate bt people. I say I got the jab. I got it. No one knows and as far as this great country we still call a Democracy. Our America. No one should know.
Biden gives cover to Chevron to do the right thing. You can fake a vac card but it will not be in your insurance database. The next obvious step is for Chevron to give blue cross permission to charge more for those with no “rear” vac record. I also suspect a lawsuit against an unvaccinated by a coworker injured will get a solid jury award including penalty for depraved indifference and fraud.

I've enjoyed my time WFH so I'm ok with the m0r0ns staying unvaxxed in that regard. Unfortunately their stupidity winds up affecting all of us.

I think giving OSHA the authority to mandate vaccines is a good move and it will probably hold up in court.
