Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Good workers became "undesirable" even before the pandemic

I like the fact that someone mentioned that macy's even before the pandemic started to get rid off of experienced and dedicated workers, and that the pandemic only accelerated that.

I'm still here but I'm leaving very soon. My store barely works mostly because there are people out there who don’t know their job, aren’t properly trained, and don’t intend to work hard.

I'm really interested in how it will all work out in the end. Is there any chance that macy's will realize their mistake and start appreciating more those with experience?

No worries! Thousands of Afghan refugees excited to work at Macy's! Since they interact with American forces they probably already have English skills. Just call 1-800-TA----N and they will ship more from Kabul. Airport is 90% open.

We have already estimated we will lose about 20 percent of our team if Biden gets his way. And people aren't lining up for jobs as we all know. Macy's better fight this ridiculous order from the demonrat in the WH.

Funny that a company who claims "to care" about people and your thoughts/views etc already sent out a email that due to Sleep Joe's new plea for all businesses employing over 100 people to require the jab or weekly testing for all employees. They say they are reviewing their policies but all they are doing is seeing if violating all of our rights in the Constitution is worth it $$$$$ for them. I wonder will they tell you if you can or cannot work at Macy's if you want or have gotten an ab-----n? Oh wait, that choice regarding your own health and body is okay to have a choice over, how silly of me that we are now going to be "mandated" every breathe we take and thought we have. God help this awful country

I now shop online directly with the vendors I like. Cut out Macy’s the ultimate middle-man. They can’t do anything that isn’t already done by the vendor.

Unfortunately, they will not! Worked for years in a great position and heard the same sad story about caring for people. As soon as one employee starts talking many more will get the courage to speak up. Their customer base needs to see behind the sham image.
All the best!
