This is going to be interesting.

VAERS CDC Disclaimer

VAERS reports alone cannot be used to determine if a vaccine caused or contributed to an adverse event or illness. The reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable. In large part, reports to VAERS are voluntary, which means they are subject to biases.
This creates specific limitations on how the data can be used scientifically. Data from VAERS reports should always be interpreted with these limitations in mind.

I am older and got the shots. Since the increase in infections I mask up if I go out. If others choose not to mask or get the shots that is their business, BUT do not go around masked people and act like an a*s and cough on them and blurt out some speech on their individual rights, that's just total BS.

Vaccine mandates and booster vaccines are being pushed by vaccinated people who aren’t happy with the effectiveness of the vaccine they took.

@1oge+1cKSicLb That’s not true. It’s been proven that people with covid do not have nearly the immunity of vaccinated people. So when you say it’s been proven, you either 1. Don’t know any better or 2. Are hoping that no one cares enough to correct you. But unlike you, I cite my sources.

“ In today’s MMWR, a study of COVID-19 infections in Kentucky among people who were previously infected with SAR-CoV-2 shows that unvaccinated individuals are more than twice as likely to be reinfected with COVID-19 than those who were fully vaccinated after initially contracting the virus. These data further indicate that COVID-19 vaccines offer better protection than natural immunity alone and that vaccines, even after prior infection, help prevent reinfections.”

Anyone else notice that a LOT of posts are getting deleted from this thread ? Do you think that this site is also being target for censorship of vaccine “misinformation” (I.e. views that don’t align with the mainstream political narrative) ?

To those who downvoted my earlier post, how do you feel now that 21 State (19 Governors and 2 Attorney Generals) have challenged the Biden’s vaccine mandate. I told you this would happen. And EM people are supposed to be the brightest …

@2bdn - I appreciate the post, but I’m going to need something better than a Reddit post of a chart and data table found on Facebook. Something from the CDC or State Health Departments, for example. Strange how THAT data is so hard to come by …

Heres a compilation of vaccinated vs non vaccinated individuals at various hospitals. Data doesn't lie.

Bottom line, false information and conspiracy theories aside… no one HAS to get the vaccine. But companies with over 100 also don’t HAVE to employ you if you refuse to get tested weekly. Choices have consequences. Get the vaccine, take weekly tests, work for a small business or employ yourself. Stop whining. I’ve had enough of the ivermectin id--ts. This country is EMBARRASSING and science shouldn’t be politicized.

From the Constitution Center:(https://constitutioncenter.org/amp/blog/current-constitutional-issues-related-to-vaccine-mandates),

According to the Congressional Research Service, there are no laws that allow the federal government to issue a vaccine mandate to the general population. These exceptions include requiring proof of vaccination for immigrants requesting permanent resident status and vaccine mandates for military service members—allowing for certain exemptions.

In other words, this again becomes a State Issue. In previous Supreme Court decisions, it has been the role of the Federal Government to protect a citizen’s right to choose (ironic, eh ?). This why there are exceptions on religious or medical grounds, and why weekly testing MUST be provided as an alternative.

This will just add to the chaos in Annandale, can’t wait to see how the LT responds, and what they decide about all the contractors. 102,475. Total cluster here. Mr. Talley where are you, Bruce left us hanging. Turn the 3rd floor lights on .

My issue with this is they don’t seem to be recognizing that those that have already had COVID are just as “vaccinated” as people who got the shot (some research shows better actually). There needs to be an allowance for that. I chose to get vaccinated based on my risk assessment of my age. My teenage kids have both had COVID, I do not want them getting the vaccine until there are years of study on reproductive side effects.

@1fvw+1cKSicLb 1- agree this will have to play out in court. I believe it will lose, and it should.

2- as far as “a political party trying to control everything and play on people’s fears” the sad thing is BOTH major parties are doing this - seriously. The problem is folks are only seeing the fears and trigger points with which they more strongly identify , as amplified by the media bubble to which they expose themselves.

Both parties are rotten and need to go. Don’t take the bait.

That’s the key, to prevent serious illnesses, therefore weekly testing or vaccine. Weekly testing should help in catching the disease in early stage, which is the key factor for preventing the serious illness.

Not unexpected from a political party trying to control everything and play on people’s fears. Let’s wait for the court challenges to play out.

Does it make sense that a vaccine is suddenly mandatory yet it does not stop the spread? Ultimately your symptoms are supposed to “not be as bad” so how does it make sense to force vaccinations?

Given the education level of the average ExxonMobil employee, I don't expect it will be a big deal. Studies show the more highly educated are more likely to get vaccinated and believe in the science of the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness.

Don’t forget to mention you can also do weekly COVID-19 testing instead of the vaccination. Also, the Supreme Court has a long history of allowing mandated vaccination so don’t get your hopes up that this will go away.

This is why we didn’t mandate it. They were waiting for the country to mandate it so the government gets sued not XOM.

Expect to see this order challenged in the state courts (probably Texas and Florida first). I think Biden has really overstepped his constitutional authority here.

What with this and now his ordering of the IRS to spy on our bank accounts and savings - the Biden Administration is becoming more Soviet by the day !
