This is nothing new, this company has never cared much for workers. However, judging by the stories of those who have been here for a long time, at one time people here could have felt much more dignified and more valued. I think Walmart should start caring a little more about employees because times change. Whether they want to admit it to themselves or not, the success of a company depends on those employees. Employees can do without Walmart because they will find another job, but WM cannot do without employees. Everyone is becoming more and more aware of that. It’s time for WM to think about it, too.

Here’s the truth, the company is not the same as it was before 2010. In the old days, Walmart was known far and wide as a family company and those from that era know exactly what I mean. But now, the retail work force has changed dramatically and is full of low skilled workers who want everything handed to them. “What? You mean I actually have to work hard and do a good job to get ahead?” Yes, you do. If you work hard for Walmart and take responsibility to do a good job, they will move you up, you will make more money and probably have a career. If you call in a lot, take 30 minute breaks and try to hide instead of working, you will only continue in the same direction you are headed now.
Replying to the comment . Who are you to insult people who go to work. SInce Walmart 1st opened their doors, they have always treated their most valuable assets, their employees, terribly. Wages so low most Employees need to work multiple jobs. Most are eligible for Snap benefits. I work with many who have given 30 years to this company. Most can't afford to retire. Most long term employees earn less than new hires. I think your comment was rude and hurtful to many
10+ years experience, leaving because of the poor work environment.
More rubbish. Like any other employer, Walmart has to provide an environment, benefit package and compensation commensurate with employees. And they do. Many associates are poor employees, at best.
They did 20 years ago. They drove all the experience out!
